Policy Advocacy

Your Voice Counts!  Your Vote Counts!

Unidos advocates for legislation and policies that support immigrant individuals and their families. We are committed to improving the lives of Latino families through our work at the local, state, and national levels of government.

National

We support the ongoing efforts to achieve Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR) which is the responsibility of the U.S. Congress. We will continue to urge our Congressional delegation to make this a very high priority.

State

In recent years, we have been active advocates in the Oregon legislature for tuition equity and Oregon driver’s licenses for immigrants without documents.  We will continue to work with other state advocacy organizations on the driver’s license issue as well as to fight against wage theft and to promote health care for all Oregonians.

It’s really important to let your state legislators know your point of view, your opinions, and how you want them to vote.
